A home should feel inevitable — built for this family, on this plot, and no other.

A Proud father of Two. Myself Vishnu Prasad Architect and Founder of VRA Homes.

I design and build independent homes in Chennai and surroundings. Not a catalogue of plans. Houses that start with how a family actually lives — and stay honest from the first drawing to the last coat of paint.

Most projects go wrong because too many people own a piece of the work, and nobody owns the whole. I started VRA Homes so architecture, cost and construction stay in one conversation. That conversation is with me.

If you are about to build, you should know who is responsible for understanding you — and who will still be there when the slab is poured.

My story

The person behind the drawings.

I came into residential construction because a house is the most expensive thing most families will ever make — and too often the least carefully heard. Drawings in one office. A quote in another. A contractor who never sat with the people who will live there. The gaps become the client's problem.

I wanted the opposite. Sit with the family. Walk the plot. Ask how mornings work, where the elders sit, where the children will grow into the rooms. Then stay responsible until the keys are handed over. Architecture is not a phase I pass along. Site is not someone else's headache.

That is why VRA Homes exists. It is not a construction company with a logo on a board. It is a practice where one person is accountable for understanding you, designing the right house, and seeing it built.

Over ten years I have designed and built independent homes across Chennai and its suburbs — villas, duplexes, residences on family plots. What matters more to me is that I can still tell you how each family wanted to live.

If you work with us, you are not buying a package and hoping the site matches the brochure. You are working with me — from the brief, through the drawings, through the BOQ, through the execution — until the house is yours.

How I look at a home

Four things I will not skip.

01

Listen first

Understand how the family actually wants to live before designing the home.

02

Design with purpose

Every room, opening, material and detail should have a reason.

03

Build with accountability

Maintain transparency in cost, materials, quality and execution with system in-hand.

04

Think long term

Create homes that remain functional, beautiful and valuable for years.
